Help our community's neglected children find light in dark hours. Two days after Christmas, six year old Jordan's mother called the police to report intruders in their home. She was seeing and hearing people coming in through the heater in her home. Jordan's mother was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation, and a social worker came and took Jordan to a foster home.
When Martha was appointed Jordan's CASA, she gathered up coloring books, crayons, and puzzles and went to visit him. he looked up with sad, tired eyes when she walked in. They played and talked for over an hour as Martha explained who she was and why she was there.
When Martha asked Jordan what he wanted, he answered: "to go home".
Many of our community's children are currently living apart from their families. A gift to CASA of Rochester/Monroe County can help us advocate for these children and provide valuable input as the court system works to reunite families safely or, if that is not possible, provide safe, permanent homes for Jordan and children like him.
Today, on Giving Tuesday, support CASA of Rochester/Monroe County as our volunteer Advocates give hope to neglected and abused children caught up in Family Court. We'll be using your donation to get the children back to a safe, permanent home as soon as possible! roctheday.org/CASARochester... See MoreSee Less
